Pediatric Neurology
Children are our future and we intend to secure our future by making them disease free.
About Pediatric Neurology
Pediatric neurology cares for babies, children and teenagers with conditions of the brain, nerves and muscles. Children are not small adults, so we take time to listen to parents, observe the child and explain things in simple words.
Conditions we treat
- Seizures, epilepsy and fever-related convulsions
- Delayed milestones, delayed speech or walking
- Cerebral palsy and other movement or muscle problems
- Headache and migraine in children
- Tics and unusual movements
- Learning, attention and behaviour concerns linked to the nervous system
- Muscle weakness and floppy infants
Tests for children
Where needed we use gentle child-friendly testing such as EEG and evoked potentials (VEP, BERA) to check how the brain, eyes and ears are responding. A specialist will explain every step to you before it is done.
When to see a specialist
Please book a visit if your child has had a seizure, is not reaching milestones like other children of the same age, loses skills they already had, or has frequent headaches. A seizure that lasts more than five minutes is an emergency.
This page is general information and does not replace a medical consultation. If you are unsure which specialist you need, call us and we will guide you.
